Job description

Note: This is a remote position but due to the nature of work we are only seeking candidates that are residing in Malta for the most part of the year.

 

VCSB is the company behind PSP Media and other technology ventures focused on cloud-based software solutions for the sports and gaming industry. While our management is based in Malta most of the employees of our different organisations are spread over Europe and work together as distributed teams.

 

As Administrative Assistant you will support the management in day-to-day back-office tasks related to the different organisations and investments.

 

This is a part-time position with initially 10-20 working hours per week, depending on the workload. You will be working remotely and at your own schedule for most of the time. Visits to the office are only needed occasionally.

 

Responsibilities

  • Input of invoices, bank statements and other accounting documents
  • Reconciling of accounts
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and liaising with external accountants/auditors
  • Coordination of bookings and financial reporting for a short let property
  • All duties related to the processing of the monthly payroll (around 20 employees/contractors)
  • Assistance in the planning and preparation of 4-6 company retreats per year (online location scouting, travel arrangements, team building activities etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date records on employees and contractors
  • Manage all on- and offboarding processes for employees and contractors
  • Assist employees and the management in HR related issues
  • Purchasing and forwarding of hardware

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is €15-20 per hour, depending on your background and experience.

Requirements

  • A high level of computer literacy paired with quick comprehension and eagerness to learn new tools
  • Knowledge of the Maltese employment system (FSS & SSC) is an asset
  • Basic experience in Accounting is an asset
  • Ability to work autonomously and think independently in a fully distributed team
  • Good communication skills in verbal and written English
  • A stable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for smooth video calls
